If anyone watched Discovery’s lauch yesterday, you might know that there was a couple peices of debris that fell from the shuttle during lift off. One was identified as being a peice of tile, and another peice that is currently un-known. Regardless of what it is. This seems to be something NASA really needs to work on. In my opinion it sounds like a weak link. But then again it could be anything, because this debris fell when the rocket boosters were released back to earth. There are cameras attached to robotic arms currently looking for any visible damage to make sure that Discovery will be safe for its return.
Shuttle Discovery has finally launched after nearly a 2 1/2 year wait of being grounded since Columbia had exploded during re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere. Full story here.
Earlier this month I learned that I was seleted to serve on jury duty, and this week is the week of my service. But, so far they haven’t asked me to come in which is good. Hopefully I will not have to serve, as it is something that I do not look forward to, and being my first time to be called on, I haven’t the slightesed idea of what to expect. Although I’m not going to get my hopes up, I’m not fully out of the woods yet, (still got 4 days I may have to go in).
Microsoft has annonced the official name of the next generation Windows OS as Windows “Vista”. Formally known as codename Longhorn, the first beta build will be released to testers on Aug. 3rd. Looks to me like they could’ve chosen a better name. Something as simple as Windows 2006. But, I guess since Vista is official, then that will have to do.
I got a digital temp monitor by Logisys for my computer a couple weeks ago. This nifty gadget fits in a 3.5′’ drive bay and lets me monitor the temps of my CPU as well as adjust the RPM at which my fans spin. I play alot of high end games, and this is really helpful. And for 20 bucks I couldn’t pass this up.
Okay so after a while Got Writer’s Blog? is back. I like this hosting service much better than blogger due to the fact that it is still free, but yet there are a lot more features available to the user. Although, I still have not figured out how to host this blog from my ISP server like blogger allows. It may be very simple and that I am over looking something, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know
